Preface
No matter where we go, whether in the grocery store, the restaurant, our workplace, or school, there is music constantly playing. When we sit down to watch a movie, tune in to a radio station, attend a social function or a place of worship, or flip on the TV we hear music. Music and music makers play a crucial role in our everyday lives. And if you’re talented musically, You’ve Got enough Music to turn the world upside down!

But that that’s only a description of your potential. Talent is NOT ENOUGH when it comes to pursuing a successful music career or attaining distinction as a performing artiste.  To be qualified as a professional musician, there are inevitable skills and information you must have at your fingertips. We live in a sophisticated age, where what you know and how you apply it determines what you get. Chances are that musicians who fail to educate themselves will underutilize their potentials and find it hard to optimize emerging opportunities in the music industry.

You’ve Got Music is my response to the continual demand of my students and clients in over a decade for a wholistic material touching all pertinent aspects of musicianship. My goal is to place in your hands a comprehensive resource for your career development - the one you can always refer to for the basic knowledge of music and its business.

As a music educator and founder of one of Africa’s biggest music academy, I’m very passionate about breeding the next generation of ‘Formidable Musicians and Superstars’. By that I mean musicians who can thrive favorable in the ever-evolving global music market. With some resources and commitment anyone can find their way to popularity in the music industry. It takes a deeper musician to make it to stardom, and even the exceptionally groomed to attain the legendary status.  Having trained over 4000 musicians in the past fifteen years, it is my pleasure to release this masterpiece coined from my practical experiences in making and teaching music, and other best practices from around the world.

It is evident of course, that several publications around the world have dissected the subjects contained in this book, but, you will agree with me that it is very rare to find one that combines all these aspects in one single work. This is the uniqueness of the book you’re reading right now.  I have included information spanning theory of music, voice training, instrument lessons, Music Composition, Music business, Showmanship, and several other information contained in the appendixes.

I need to also assure you that, although this book covers a number of aspects, I have consciously ensured that the lessons contained therein are presented in the simplest possible form. So, you aren’t going to be encountering ambiguous theories or prolonged explanations.

This handbook is designed to be a resourceful tool to a wide range of users such as, upcoming artistes, singers, instrumentalists, church choristers, composers, music producers, music directors, sound engineers, music teachers, music entrepreneurs, e.t.c. It doesn’t matter the genre or style of music you belong to.

Experts say that over the next ten years, jobs in art, music, culture and entertainment will grow twice as many as jobs in engineering will. Those who've been educated in the arts will have a great advantage over those who have not. The era of mediocrity in music performance and business is almost over, and soon, only the well rooted players will remain in the game.

Musician, BRACE YOURSELF!
I do hope that you’ll find this material very resourceful. I’m sure by the time you’re done exploring its pages, you would have been groomed to potently express to the world the great Music You’ve  Got on the inside of you!
